Project Description
The necessity of a further development of hybrid technology in public transport is on energy and ecological grounds beyond dispute.
This project accompanied the introduction of a hybrid bus with intelligent energy management from the Swiss manufacturer HESS into the Dresden transport company. In the course of the project conclusions should be drawn on the fuel consumption performance with the use of new hybrid concepts and an intelligent energy management.
The objective is to support the introduction of the hybrid technology by supplying the transport companies with reliable data which could help when making decisions about the procurement of new vehicles with hybrid motors.
