Assistance in Operation
While urban transport in major cities and metropolitan areas in Germany have always played an important role in providing transport services, other countries are beginning to reconsider and implement effective public urban transport systems.
In particular countries with rapid economic development,
large cities and population growth want to solve their city traffic problems
by building high-performance underground, tram or metropolitan railway
systems. The timeframe for planning, building and commissioning
these often entirely new transport systems is often very tight. Often, general
contractors are commissioned to hand over turnkey systems.
As future transport systems operators generally do not have the necessary
experience to commission these systems and perform the related tasks, experienced
engineers and technicians from other transportation companies or
specialised consultants are commissioned to provide operational assistance.
